Skyler Maher

Dr. Skyler Maher is a board-certified dermatologist specializing in adult and pediatric dermatology as well as skin cancer diagnosis and treatment.

Dr. Maher grew up in Carrollton, TX and went on to complete her undergraduate training at the University of North Texas, in Denton. During her time in Denton, she was an Eagle Ambassador as well as a member of the prestigious NT40. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science with Honors in Kinesiology. After UNT, she attended medical school at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, TX.

Dr. Maher completed her dermatology residency training at UTMB, where she conducted research and presented lectures in subjects including: Nonmelanoma Skin Cancer, Pregnancy-specific Skin Disorders, Blistering Diseases, Pityriasis Rubra Pilaris, Sweet’s Syndrome (neutrophilic dermatoses), and the depiction of dermatology in the media. Dr. Maher was published in the September 2019 issue of the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology for her research in rare mycobacterial skin infections in the Texas Gulf Coast region.
